CVE-2026-39833 is a protection-mechanism failure in the SSH agent implementation of golang.org/x/crypto prior to version 0.52.0. The in-memory keyring returned by NewKeyring() accepted keys configured with the ConfirmBeforeUse constraint, but did not implement or enforce the requested confirmation requirement. Consequently, signing operations could proceed without a confirmation prompt and without notifying the caller that the requested constraint was unsupported. Version 0.52.0 changes NewKeyring() to return an error when unsupported constraints are requested.
