CVE-2026-39835 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in golang.org/x/crypto/ssh CertChecker handling. An SSH server that uses CertChecker as its public-key authentication callback without configuring the applicable IsUserAuthority or IsHostAuthority callback can panic when a client presents an SSH certificate. The corrected implementation returns an error when the authority callback is nil rather than dereferencing it and panicking.
