CVE-2026-39852 is an authorization bypass vulnerability in Quarkus, affecting io.quarkus:quarkus-vertx-http before versions 3.20.6.1, 3.27.3.1, 3.33.1.1, 3.35.1.1, 3.34.7, and 3.35.2. The flaw is caused by inconsistent path normalization between Quarkus's security layer and the RESTEasy Reactive routing layer. The security layer evaluates authorization policies against the raw request path, where matrix parameters introduced with semicolons are preserved, while the routing layer strips those matrix parameters before endpoint matching. As a result, a request path modified by appending a semicolon and trailing text can evade HTTP path-based authorization checks while still being routed to the protected endpoint. This creates a mismatch between the path that is authorized and the path that is ultimately executed.
