CVE-2026-40050 is a critical unauthenticated path traversal vulnerability in CrowdStrike LogScale Self-Hosted. According to CrowdStrike, the flaw exists in a specific cluster API endpoint which, if exposed, can be abused by a remote attacker to traverse directories and read arbitrary files from the underlying server filesystem without authentication. Reported affected versions are LogScale Self-Hosted GA 1.224.0 through 1.234.0 inclusive and LogScale Self-Hosted LTS 1.228.0 and 1.228.1. CrowdStrike stated that Next-Gen SIEM customers are not affected and that LogScale SaaS customers were mitigated via network-layer blocks deployed on April 7, 2026.
