CVE-2026-40351 is a NoSQL injection vulnerability in FastGPT, an AI agent building platform, affecting versions prior to 4.14.9.5. The flaw is in the password-based login endpoint, which relies on a TypeScript type assertion for the password field without performing runtime validation. Because attacker-controlled input is not enforced to be a primitive string at runtime, an unauthenticated attacker can submit a MongoDB query operator object such as {"$ne":""} in place of the password. This crafted object alters the backend query logic and bypasses password verification, allowing authentication as arbitrary accounts, including the root administrator.
