CVE-2026-41417 is a request-line validation bypass in Netty's DefaultHttpRequest.setUri() and DefaultFullHttpRequest.setUri(). Request constructors reject CRLF and whitespace characters that could break the start-line, but subsequent URI changes through setUri() do not enforce equivalent validation. HttpRequestEncoder and RtspEncoder serialize the modified URI verbatim, allowing attacker-controlled URI values to introduce CRLF and additional requests. Exploitation can cause HTTP request smuggling or desynchronization and RTSP request injection. The issue is fixed in Netty 4.1.133.Final and 4.2.13.Final.
