The listed CVSS v3 base score is 5.8, indicating network-based exploitation requiring no privileges or user interaction, with low integrity impact and no confidentiality or availability impact. A multipart validation bypass in Coraza versions 3.4.0–3.7.0. Three multipart-processing paths silently accept io.ErrUnexpectedEOF without setting MULTIPART_STRICT_ERROR, and successful function returns also prevent REQBODY_ERROR from being raised. Consequently, recommended defensive rules 200003 and 200002 do not reject truncated multipart requests. The proof of concept demonstrates malformed requests receiving HTTP 200 instead of HTTP 400, with no matching audit records. This can enable WAF evasion when backend multipart parsers interpret incomplete bodies differently. The affected-package metadata identifies version 3.8.0 as fixed; the described code change restores strict-error signaling while preserving partial-processing behavior.
