CVE-2026-42508 is an authentication and trust-validation bypass in golang.org/x/crypto/ssh/knownhosts. Revocation handling did not correctly evaluate the revoked status of a certificate authority SignatureKey associated with an SSH certificate. Consequently, a certificate could pass known-hosts validation even when its CA SignatureKey had been marked revoked. The corrected implementation checks both the presented key and its SignatureKey against revoked entries.
