CVE-2026-42580 is an integer-overflow vulnerability in Netty's HTTP decoding component, netty-codec-http. The HttpObjectDecoder#getChunkSize method can silently overflow an integer when parsing HTTP chunk sizes, enabling HTTP request smuggling. The vulnerability affects Netty releases before 4.1.133.Final in the 4.1.x line and before 4.2.13.Final in the 4.2.x line.
