CVE-2026-42613 is a privilege-escalation vulnerability in the Grav Login plugin affecting versions prior to 2.0.0-beta.2. The flaw is in the Login::register() method, which accepts attacker-controlled groups and access fields from registration POST data without adequate server-side validation or authorization enforcement. In deployments where user registration is enabled and the groups or access fields are included in the configured allowed fields list, an unauthenticated attacker can supply crafted registration parameters that assign elevated privileges during account creation, including admin.super.
