CVE-2026-43198 is a race condition in the Linux kernel TCP stack affecting IPv6 SYN receive processing. In the affected path, tcp_v6_syn_recv_sock() performed IPv6-specific child-socket initialization only after calling tcp_v4_syn_recv_sock(). The latter had already inserted the child socket into the TCP established-hash table, making it accessible to other CPUs while the child socket's IPv6 state could still reference the listening socket's IPv6 protocol information. The fix moves the initialization into tcp_v6_mapped_child_init(), called by tcp_v4_syn_recv_sock() before hash-table insertion, ensuring the child socket is fully initialized before it becomes concurrently visible.
