CVE-2026-4446 is a high-severity use-after-free vulnerability in the WebRTC component of Google Chrome. A memory lifetime error in WebRTC can leave a dangling reference to an object after it has been freed, creating a condition where subsequent access may corrupt heap memory. Google states that affected Chrome versions prior to 146.0.7680.153 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption by convincing a user to load a crafted HTML page. The flaw affects Chromium-derived browsers that incorporate the vulnerable code until they receive the corresponding upstream fix.
