CVE-2026-45249 is a cross-site scripting vulnerability in Apache ECharts affecting versions prior to 6.1.0. The flaw is in the Lines series tooltip rendering logic. When a chart uses both the Lines series and tooltip functionality, no custom tooltip.formatter is defined, and series.data[i].name is present, a raw HTML string supplied in series.data[i].name can be inserted into tooltip content through an innerHTML sink. This breaks the expected behavior of the built-in tooltip formatting path, which normally performs HTML escaping automatically, and can result in attacker-controlled script execution when the tooltip is displayed in the browser.
