CVE-2026-46116 is a memory-safety vulnerability in the Linux kernel XFRM/IPsec subsystem. The __xfrm_state_delete() routine could remove xfrm_state hash-list nodes based on mutable sequence-number and SPI values rather than actual hash-list membership; it also used non-initializing RCU list deletion for relevant nodes. Consequently, concurrent or repeated state deletion could attempt to unlink an already unlinked node and write through a poisoned list pointer. The condition produces slab use-after-free and out-of-bounds-write failures in the xfrm_state lifecycle.
