CVE-2026-46117 is a Linux kernel vulnerability in the RDMA/mana subsystem, specifically in mana_ib_create_qp_rss(). The issue arises because a user can supply, via the RDMA/mana uAPI, work queues (WQs) that share the same completion queue (CQ). This invalid user-controlled configuration reaches a WARN_ON() path that is triggerable by an unprivileged caller with access to the relevant interface. After the WARN_ON() is hit, execution continues in a state that can corrupt kernel memory or kernel state. The upstream fix removes the user-triggerable WARN_ON() condition by rejecting such queue pair creation requests outright when the supplied WQs share the same CQ.
