CVE-2026-48124 is a workspace-configuration command execution vulnerability in Cursor Desktop affecting versions prior to 3.0.0. Cursor could execute Claude hook commands defined in the workspace-controlled .claude settings file without dedicated user approval. Because this configuration was sourced from the project workspace, a malicious repository or an agent-created file could plant hook definitions that would later be executed locally in the user's security context when an agent turn ended. The flaw effectively treated workspace configuration as executable behavior and allowed code originating from untrusted project content to cross the intended sandbox boundary through a trusted host-side component.
