CVE-2026-48500 affects Filament, a collection of full-stack components for Laravel development. In versions from 3.0.0 up to but excluding 3.3.52, 4.11.5, and 5.6.5, Filament may apply Livewire's WithFileUploads trait to any Livewire component embedding a schema because any schema can contain a file upload form field. As a result, components that do not actually require file uploads, including authentication-related schemas such as the panel login form, may still expose temporary file upload functionality. This creates an unauthenticated arbitrary file upload condition to the application's temporary storage on those components. The issue is not described as leading to direct code execution, but it permits untrusted users to place arbitrary files into temporary storage without authentication.
