CVE-2026-48748 is a memory-exhaustion vulnerability in Netty's HTTP/3 codec, affecting netty-codec-http3 from 4.2.0.Final through 4.2.14.Final. QpackDecoder.shouldWaitForDynamicTableUpdates permits creation of an unbounded number of blocked streams while processing HTTP/3 header blocks that reference QPACK dynamic-table entries not yet received. When QPACK dynamic tables are enabled and the blocked-stream limit remains at its default value of 0, an attacker can retain blocked-stream state and associated listeners until heap memory is exhausted.
