IO::Compress versions before 2.220 for Perl contain an eval injection vulnerability in File::GlobMapper output-glob processing. The _parseOutputGlob() function wraps a caller-supplied output glob in double quotes and stores the resulting expression in parser state. The _getFiles() function subsequently evaluates that expression using eval STRING. An attacker-controlled literal double quote can terminate the wrapper, causing subsequent characters to be interpreted as Perl code. Injected code executes with the privileges of the calling process.
