Tornado versions before 6.5.6 contain a credential-disclosure vulnerability in SimpleAsyncHTTPClient redirect handling. The client shallow-copies redirected requests and removes only the Host header, retaining Authorization, auth_username, auth_password, and auth_mode even when the redirect changes the scheme, host, or port. When redirects are followed, authentication information intended for the original origin can consequently be forwarded to a different origin. Redirect following is enabled by default. Tornado 6.5.6 fixes the issue.
