CVE-2026-50011 is an uncontrolled resource allocation vulnerability in Netty's Redis codec, specifically in RedisArrayAggregator within io.netty:netty-codec-redis. In affected versions prior to 4.1.135.Final and 4.2.15.Final, the aggregator pre-allocates an ArrayList using the RESP array element count declared in the incoming array header. Because this count is accepted directly from untrusted network input before the corresponding child messages are received or validated, a malicious peer can declare an extremely large array size and trigger excessive heap allocation immediately. The flaw is caused by trusting attacker-supplied length metadata for initial capacity selection without adequate bounds checking or throttling.
