CVE-2026-50193 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in Jackson Databind versions 2.13.0 through versions before 2.14.0. A service is vulnerable only when it parses attacker-supplied deeply nested JSON into a JsonNode with ObjectMapper.readTree() and subsequently serializes that same or modified node with JsonNode.toString(). Serializing deeply nested node structures can cause a StackOverflowError and significant resource consumption. Payloads with thousands of nesting levels can be small, and concurrent requests can amplify resource exhaustion.
