CVE-2026-50610 is a local privilege-escalation vulnerability in Acer System Monitor, a shared component used by NitroSense and PredatorSense on Windows. A privileged service accepts requests from authenticated standard users through permissively accessible named pipes but does not impersonate or authorize clients. The service exposes registry-operation commands that execute in the LocalSystem security context, allowing an unprivileged user to perform arbitrary machine-wide registry modifications and elevate privileges to NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM.

A local privilege-escalation vulnerability affecting Acer laptops that allows a standard Windows user to obtain SYSTEM privileges.
High-severity local privilege escalation affecting Acer NitroSense/PredatorSense systems using the Acer System Monitor engine. The vulnerable SYSTEM service exposes named pipes writable by Authenticated Users and processes commands without caller authorization. Its command interface permits arbitrary HKLM registry writes, allowing a local standard user to convert the primitive to NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM code execution, such as through an Image File Execution Options debugger entry.
An insufficient access-control vulnerability in Acer System Monitoring, included with NitroSense and PredatorSense, that could allow an authenticated local user to perform unauthorized registry modifications and escalate privileges locally.
