CVE-2026-52102 is an OS command injection vulnerability in the openmediavault-md plugin of OpenMediaVault version 8.0.4-1. The flaw allows attacker-controlled input containing shell metacharacters to be incorporated into operating system command execution without proper neutralization. As a result, an attacker can cause the application to execute arbitrary system commands in the security context of the affected component, which in this case is root.

This repository is a small standalone Python proof-of-concept exploit for CVE-2026-52102, consisting of one executable script and a README. The main file, CVE-2026-52102-PoC.py, performs multi-target authenticated exploitation against OpenMediaVault over its web-exposed JSON-RPC interface. It reads targets from targets.txt, iterates through a hardcoded list of default/weak credential pairs, and sends a Session.login request to /rpc.php. On successful authentication, it sets the OPENMEDIAVAULT-SESSIONID cookie, attempts to install the openmediavault-md package via Plugin.install, and then sends an MdMgmt.create request where the devices parameter contains '/dev/sda; <cmd>' to inject a shell command. The hardcoded payload is a bash reverse shell using /dev/tcp/<IP>/<PORT>. Successful compromises are logged to pwneds.txt along with the URL, username, password, and session ID. The script supports concurrent exploitation with ThreadPoolExecutor using up to 10 threads. Overall, this is an operational authenticated RCE exploit rather than a detector: it brute-forces a small credential set, interacts with a specific OpenMediaVault RPC endpoint, and attempts to obtain code execution via command injection in RAID/MD management functionality.
