CVE-2026-52860 is an arbitrary code execution vulnerability in Vim versions earlier than 9.2.0597 when Python omni-completion is available. The omni-completion implementation reconstructs Python function and class definitions from the active buffer and executes the reconstructed source with Python exec(). Function default expressions, parameter annotations, and class base expressions are evaluated when Python defines those objects, allowing expressions embedded in a hostile Python buffer to execute during completion. The g:pythoncomplete_allow_import setting does not prevent this path because the executed expressions are not harvested import or from statements.
