CVE-2026-53071 is a concurrency vulnerability in the Linux kernel Bluetooth L2CAP subsystem. The l2cap_ecred_reconf_rsp() handler calls l2cap_chan_del() without acquiring the channel lock through l2cap_chan_lock(). A remote Bluetooth Low Energy device can send a crafted L2CAP enhanced credit-based (ECRED) reconfiguration response that causes channel deletion while another thread is iterating the channel list, corrupting that list. The correction adds channel reference management and locking around the deletion operation.

A missing channel lock in the Linux kernel Bluetooth function l2cap_ecred_reconf_rsp() allows a remote Bluetooth Low Energy device to trigger channel-list corruption using a crafted L2CAP ECRED reconfiguration response. The advisory rates the vulnerability High, with a CVSS v3 base score of 7.5 and an adjacent-network attack vector. The fix adds channel locking and reference management around l2cap_chan_del().
