CVE-2026-53143 is an incorrect-buffer-length vulnerability in the Linux kernel AMD KFD driver's GFX11 SDMA queue checkpoint and restore functionality. The v11 MQD manager assigns CP-compute checkpoint_mqd() and restore_mqd() handlers to KFD_MQD_TYPE_SDMA queues. These handlers use the 2048-byte v11_compute_mqd size rather than the 512-byte v11_sdma_mqd size. During CRIU checkpoint on Navi3x, this causes a 1536-byte out-of-bounds read that exposes adjacent GTT memory to userspace. During restore, it causes a 1536-byte out-of-bounds write that corrupts adjacent GTT memory, often containing a ring buffer or neighboring MQDs. The regression is specific to v11; the cik, vi, v9, v10, and v12 backends use the correct SDMA-specific handlers.

A buffer overflow in Linux kernel AMD KFD SDMA queue checkpoint/restore on GFX11. This CVE is identified as the plugin's CVSS score source. The plugin reports exploits available at the advisory level without explicitly identifying which CVEs have exploit code.
A vulnerability covered by the Miracle Linux kernel update and used as the plugin's CVSS score source. Its vector indicates local exploitation requiring low privileges, no user interaction, and high confidentiality, integrity, and availability impacts. The temporal vector indicates proof-of-concept exploit maturity and an official fix; the underlying flaw is not described.
