CVE-2026-53182 is an integer-overflow vulnerability in the Linux kernel Wi-Fi nl80211 EMA Reduced Neighbor Report (RNR) element parser. The nl80211_parse_rnr_elems() routine records the number of parsed nested EMA RNR elements in the 8-bit cfg80211_rnr_elems::cnt field and uses that count to calculate a flexible-array allocation size. An oversized nested element list can cause the count to exceed the representable range, producing an incorrect allocation size. The fix rejects further elements when the count reaches 255, preserving consistency between parser input limits and the destination structure.
