CVE-2026-54061 is a missing-authentication vulnerability in Dgraph Alpha versions prior to 25.3.5. External snapshot-import gRPC functionality, including the StreamExtSnapshot handler, was exposed without authentication or authorization enforcement. An unauthenticated client could submit Badger stream data to a target group store. The import receiver invokes Prepare() before processing the stream, deleting and replacing existing database data.

A critical missing-authentication flaw in Dgraph Alpha's public-facing gRPC endpoint that allows unauthenticated remote access to sensitive snapshot import functionality, leading to truncation and destruction of active database tables.
A critical unauthenticated remote data-integrity and availability vulnerability in Dgraph Alpha's external snapshot-import gRPC RPCs. Network-accessible attackers can overwrite and delete existing database data by streaming crafted Badger data to the exposed service.
An improper authentication vulnerability in Dgraph Alpha that exposes external snapshot import RPCs on the public gRPC port, allowing an unauthenticated remote attacker to replace existing database data, causing high integrity and availability impact.
