CVE-2026-54209 is an unauthenticated denial-of-service vulnerability in Tobit Laboratories AG TeamDavid Webbox password-change handling. A special directive embedded in a supplied file-path value invokes functionality intended to update a password in a designated configuration file. The application fails to verify that the supplied target is that expected file. An attacker can instead cause an oversized alternate file to be processed, overflowing a fixed-size stack buffer and terminating the Webbox server process. TeamDavid releases before Rollout 528 are affected; the relevant functionality is disabled by default beginning with Rollout 528.
