CVE-2026-54218 is a use of hard-coded cryptographic key vulnerability in Tobit Laboratories AG TeamDavid Webbox. Passwords for users created locally in David are stored in server-side data using reversible obfuscation rather than cryptographic password protection. The obfuscation uses an XOR-derived key based on a constant and character position, allowing a party that obtains the affected data to recover plaintext passwords. The issue affects TeamDavid releases before Rollout 528; the affected functionality is disabled by default starting with Rollout 528.

A hard-coded cryptographic key and weak password obfuscation issue in Tobit Laboratories AG TeamDavid Webbox. An attacker with server filesystem access, including via file extraction, could recover passwords for locally created David users. Affects TeamDavid through Rollout 524.
A hard-coded cryptographic key vulnerability in Tobit Laboratories AG TeamDavid Webbox that can allow recovery of locally created users’ passwords from server files protected only by obfuscation.
An insecure password storage vulnerability in TeamDavid where passwords in access.ini are reversibly obfuscated, and in some cases stored in plaintext, enabling recovery of user credentials if the file is obtained.
