CVE-2026-54458 is a stored DOM-based cross-site scripting vulnerability in the YPTSocket plugin of WWBN AVideo affecting versions prior to 29.0. The flaw arises because the application issues a signed WebSocket token to anonymous callers and then accepts attacker-controlled WebSocket connection parameters, including page_title and webSocketSelfURI, without validation in MessageSQLiteV2::onOpen. These values are persisted in the in-memory SQLite connections table and broadcast to connected clients in the online-users data structure. On the client side, updateSocketUserCard inserts the attacker-controlled page_title into an HTML template that is passed to jQuery append, causing untrusted content to be parsed into active DOM nodes rather than rendered as inert text. When an administrator views a page rendering the YPTSocket online-users debug panel, arbitrary JavaScript executes in that administrator’s authenticated origin.
