CVE-2026-54513 is a polymorphic deserialization allowlist bypass in Jackson Databind, introduced in version 2.10.0. BasicPolymorphicTypeValidator.Builder.allowIfSubTypeIsArray() accepts any array type based solely on clazz.isArray(), without checking whether its component type is allowlisted. Consequently, a validator combining this rule with an explicit concrete-type allowlist can still accept arrays of prohibited types. When array elements lack per-element type IDs, Jackson directly instantiates the component type without another PolymorphicTypeValidator check. This can enable unsafe object instantiation and arbitrary code execution in susceptible applications. Fixed releases are 2.18.8, 2.21.4, and 3.1.4.
