CVE-2026-54514 is an eager DNS-resolution vulnerability in Jackson-databind's JDKFromStringDeserializer when deserializing InetSocketAddress values. The deserializer constructs addresses using new InetSocketAddress(host, port), which resolves hostname inputs immediately. Applications that bind attacker-controlled JSON into objects containing an InetSocketAddress field consequently issue attacker-selected DNS queries during readValue, before application-level validation or connection logic. The vulnerability affects releases beginning with 2.0.0 and preceding the applicable fixed releases, 2.18.8, 2.21.4, and 3.1.4. The fix uses InetSocketAddress.createUnresolved(host, port) to defer resolution until an explicit connection operation.

An unspecified vulnerability covered by an Alma Linux 9.2 security check. The content assigns it a CVSS v2 vector of AV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:C/I:C/A:C.
A prior jackson-databind eager-DNS-resolution SSRF vulnerability affecting InetSocketAddress deserialization. Its remediation is described as incomplete because the analogous InetAddress deserialization branch remained vulnerable.
