CVE-2026-55194 is a heap-based buffer overflow in FreeRDP versions earlier than 3.27.0. In rpc_client_recv_fragment, response-reassembly capacity is calculated from the server-controlled alloc_hint without ensuring capacity for the actual stub length written. A malicious TS Gateway can send a crafted PTYPE_RESPONSE with a small alloc_hint and disproportionately large fragment length, causing attacker-controlled RPC stub data to be written beyond the fixed response buffer.
