CVE-2026-55207 is an improper password-recovery implementation in Pimcore Studio Backend Bundle versions before 2025.4.6 and from 2026.1.0 through before 2026.1.6. The password-reset flow accepts an attacker-controlled reset URL, appends a valid server-generated recovery token to it, and delivers the resulting link by email to the targeted administrator. When the administrator follows the link, the recovery token is disclosed to the attacker-controlled destination. The attacker can then use the token to authenticate as that administrator; token-based authentication bypasses two-factor authentication.

An unauthenticated account-takeover vulnerability in Pimcore's studio-backend-bundle password-reset flow. An attacker can inject a malicious password-reset URL, capture the victim's valid 24-hour recovery token when the victim follows the legitimate email link, and use it to obtain full administrator access while bypassing 2FA.
An account takeover vulnerability in Pimcore's password reset flow that allows an unauthenticated attacker who knows a valid admin username to capture a legitimate recovery token via an attacker-controlled reset URL and then authenticate as the admin, bypassing two-factor authentication.
