CVE-2026-55688 is a cookie-tossing vulnerability in the Java AsyncHttpClient library's ThreadSafeCookieStore. In versions 2.0.0 before 2.16.0 and 3.0.0.Beta1 before 3.0.11, the cookie-store implementation accepts a Set-Cookie Domain attribute and stores the cookie under that domain without confirming that the responding request host domain-matches the specified cookie domain, contrary to RFC 6265 cookie-domain verification requirements. An attacker-controlled endpoint can consequently inject a cookie scoped to an unrelated domain into a shared client cookie store. When that client subsequently requests the unrelated domain, the injected cookie can be attached to the request.

A cookie-tossing (cookie-injection) vulnerability in AsyncHttpClient's ThreadSafeCookieStore. An attacker-influenced host can set a cookie for an unrelated trusted domain when both are accessed through the same shared cookie store, enabling session fixation or overwriting session/CSRF-token cookies.
A medium-severity cookie-injection vulnerability in AsyncHttpClient's ThreadSafeCookieStore. Missing RFC 6265 domain-match validation permits an attacker-controlled server to set cookies for unrelated domains when an application reuses a shared client instance, enabling session fixation or anti-CSRF cookie overwriting.
