CVE-2026-55780 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in NanaZip prior to version 6.5.1749.0. The flaw is in the .NET single-file bundle handler implemented in NanaZip.Codecs.Archive.DotNetSingleFile.cpp. During extraction, the handler sizes its buffer using the bundle entry Size field after only checking that the value is non-negative, without validating it against the actual underlying file size. A crafted bundle can therefore supply an attacker-controlled size value that triggers an excessive allocation attempt inside the Extract routine. This can result in C++ exceptions such as std::bad_alloc or std::length_error propagating across the COM STDMETHODCALLTYPE boundary and terminating the process.
