CVE-2026-56746 is a security-control bypass in Netty CorsHandler affecting versions 4.1.0.Final through 4.1.135.Final and 4.2.0.Final through 4.2.15.Final. A logical operator error in origin evaluation allows requests containing an Origin: null header to bypass the shortCircuit() protection intended to reject unauthorized cross-origin requests before they reach application logic. Unauthorized requests are instead forwarded to the backend application. The vulnerability is fixed in Netty 4.1.136.Final and 4.2.16.Final.
