CVE-2026-56862 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in Go's crypto/tls package. TLS handshake messages, including KeyUpdate, were treated as state-advancing even when a handshake had not completed. A malicious client could repeatedly submit KeyUpdate messages, causing the server to perform key-derivation operations indefinitely. The flaw was corrected by limiting the handshake messages accepted after the handshake.
