CVE-2026-58160 is an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in Apache Traffic Server caused by improper bounds handling while parsing DNS answers. The flaw affects Apache Traffic Server versions 8.0.0 through 8.1.9, 9.0.0 through 9.2.14, and 10.0.0 through 10.1.3. A malformed or otherwise unexpected DNS response can cause the parser to read memory beyond the intended buffer while processing DNS answer data. This is a memory-safety issue in the DNS response parsing path and can lead to process instability and potentially unintended disclosure of memory contents.
