CVE-2026-59148 is a vulnerability in Mockoon versions before 9.7.0. The administrative API is enabled by default in shipped runtimes and is served from the same Express listener as user-defined mock routes without authentication. Its permissive cross-origin policy permits arbitrary origins and write methods. An unauthenticated network-reachable caller can access administrative functions to disclose Mockoon-prefixed environment variables, set process environment variables, alter mock route responses and headers, access transaction logs and server-sent events, and purge state.

An unauthenticated administrative API exposure in Mockoon commons-server and CLI. Default-enabled admin endpoints lack authentication and use permissive wildcard CORS, allowing reachable attackers—including malicious websites targeting a developer's local Mockoon instance—to read secrets and request logs, modify arbitrary process environment variables, alter mock responses, and purge server state.
An unauthenticated administrative API exposure in Mockoon combined with permissive wildcard CORS that allows remote attackers who can reach the mock server port to read MOCKOON_* environment variables, set arbitrary environment variables, modify mock routes and responses, access logs/SSE streams, and purge state.
