CVE-2026-59645 is an uncontrolled-recursion vulnerability in the Bouncy Castle Java OER parser, including the OERInputStream component. Processing a self-referential IEEE 1609.2 schema can cause recursion without a depth limit, potentially exhausting the stack and causing denial of service. Affected versions are Bouncy Castle for Java before 1.85, Bouncy Castle for Java LTS before 2.73.12, and Bouncy Castle for Java FIPS (BC-FJA) bcutil-fips before 2.0.7 in the 2.0.x series and before 2.1.7 in the 2.1.x series.
