CVE-2026-59689 is an incorrect authorization vulnerability affecting Progress Software LoadMaster, ECS Connection Manager, Object Scale Connection Manager, and MOVEit WAF. The flaw allows an authenticated attacker with low privileges to bypass intended authorization boundaries and escalate privileges to root on the affected appliance. The issue is a broken access control condition in which operations or privilege transitions that should be restricted to higher-privileged roles are insufficiently protected. Successful exploitation can lead to root-level control of the appliance and potential full system compromise.
