CVE-2026-59792 is a path traversal vulnerability in JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA affecting versions before 2026.1.4 and 2026.2. The flaw arises from improper handling of project workspace identifiers, allowing traversal outside the intended path context. Under conditions where a crafted workspace ID is processed, an attacker can cause IntelliJ IDEA to access or operate on unintended filesystem locations, resulting in code execution. The issue is classified as CWE-23.
