CVE-2026-59849 is a logic flaw in libssh automatic certificate-based public-key authentication. When a configured certificate is unavailable or is repeatedly rejected by the SSH server, affected libssh clients can re-enter authentication processing indefinitely rather than terminating or advancing to an error state. The resulting infinite loop causes a client-side denial of service.
