CVE-2026-59880 is an algorithmic-complexity denial-of-service vulnerability in Immutable.js Immutable.Map and Immutable.Set. Vulnerable implementations store keys sharing the same 32-bit hash in a HashCollisionNode collision bucket that is scanned linearly. An attacker controlling inserted keys can generate many hash collisions, causing disproportionate CPU consumption during insertion and lookup, including quadratic construction or full-read behavior. Attack paths include Immutable.Map(obj), Immutable.fromJS(obj), state.merge(userObject), and mergeDeep. Affected versions include releases before 4.3.9 and the 5.x line from 5.0.0-beta.1 through versions before 5.1.8.

A hash-collision algorithmic-complexity denial-of-service vulnerability in the Immutable.js npm package's Immutable.Map and Immutable.Set. Predictable, deterministic string hashes let attackers precompute many colliding object keys, forcing linear collision-bucket scans and potentially stalling Node.js event loops.
A hash-collision algorithmic complexity denial-of-service vulnerability in Immutable.js affecting Immutable.Map and Immutable.Set, where attacker-controlled colliding keys can cause disproportionate CPU consumption during insertion and lookup.
