CVE-2026-59888 is a deserialization annotation bypass in jackson-databind affecting Java Records that use a PropertyNamingStrategy. POJOPropertiesCollector._removeUnwantedIgnorals() tracks an ignored Record component under its original implicit name before _renameUsing() applies the naming strategy. Consequently, a JSON key using the transformed name can bind to the Record constructor parameter despite @JsonIgnore. The vulnerability affects releases beginning with 2.15.0 and is fixed in the applicable maintenance branches by versions 2.18.8, 2.21.4, and 3.1.4.
