CVE-2026-62146 is a trust-boundary vulnerability in CRI-O sandbox-state persistence. Attacker-influenced pod metadata can overwrite CRI-O-reserved sandbox bookkeeping. If CRI-O subsequently restarts and reloads that state as trusted, recreating a container in the affected sandbox can expose a host-side runtime-management resource inside the container, enabling escape from the container boundary.
