CVE-2026-62857 is a server-side request forgery vulnerability in Fedify, a TypeScript library for building federated ActivityPub server applications. The flaw affects getNodeInfo() and Context.lookupNodeInfo(), which retrieve a NodeInfo document URL advertised through a remote server's /.well-known/nodeinfo response. In affected versions, the implementation follows an attacker-controlled links[].href value without validating the URL scheme, redirect chain, or whether the destination resolves to a public address. As a result, a malicious remote server can cause the application to issue requests to non-public targets such as loopback, link-local, cloud metadata, and private-network services, and return the fetched response bodies to the caller. Affected versions include 1.2.0 and later releases in the vulnerable 1.9, 1.10, 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, and 2.3 maintenance lines prior to the vendor fixes.
